PR-153-126-R02 Continental Shelf Bottom Boundary Layer Model Vol II-Model-Data Comparison
Title
PR-153-126-R02 Continental Shelf Bottom Boundary Layer Model Vol II-Model-Data Comparison
Subject
Offshore, on-bottom stability
Description
High-quality bottom boundary layer measurements from the CODE site are
described. Bottom tripod velocity measurements and supporting data typical of
everyday spring and summer conditions and during a winter storm are analyzed to obtain both velocity profiles and mean bottom stress and bottom roughness estimates. These values are compared to the AGA model developed in Volume I. The everyday measurements were taken during CODE-i at C3 (90 m) by Grant and Williams, WHOI

the winter storm data was taken prior to CODE at the R2 (80 m) site by Cacchione and Drake, USGS.
